Without prior knowledge of how to find suitable mental health or addiction treatment, choosing the right outpatient program can be daunting.

Patients often enter Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) after completing detoxification or inpatient treatment. Typically, PHP requires daily attendance and involves more time commitment each day compared to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

At Life Line Treatment Center, we offer highly-rated PHP services.

    Why choose us:

    • 6 hours a day, 5 days a week PHP with a flexible schedule
    • In-person and virtual appointments
    • Morning, noon, and evening tracks
    • Most insurance accepted

PHP programs include extensive individual and group therapy sessions, teaching better coping mechanisms to manage stress without resorting to alcohol or drug abuse. This intensive schedule is why PHP is often called day-treatment, as patients receive near full-time care during the day but return home in the evenings.

The distinction between IOP and PHP is subtle but significant. The appropriate program for you will depend on various factors, such as previous treatment experiences and the strength of your support system at home. The key differences are:

    • Our PHP programs are 6 hours a day, 5 days a week.
    • Our IOP programs are 3 hours a day, 3-5 days a week.

    Partial Hospitalization Program

Patients often transition directly into a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) after completing detoxification or inpatient treatment. PHP typically requires daily participation, with sessions lasting 5-6 hours per day, 3-5 days a week, which is more intensive compared to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). PHP involves substantial individual and group therapy to teach patients coping mechanisms for managing stress without resorting to alcohol or drug use. This level of care is often referred to as day treatment, as patients receive nearly full-time care during the day and return home in the evenings. Additionally, PHP includes more supervision, such as monitoring psychiatric symptoms and medication intake, though the extent of these services may depend on your insurance coverage.
